Marko Rehmer

Marko Rehmer (born 29 April 1972 in East Berlin) is a retired German footballer, who played mainly as a central defender.
== Club career ==

In his youth Rehmer played for hometown 1. FC Union Berlin; he arrived in the first division at almost 25, joining former East Germany's F.C. Hansa Rostock during the 1997 winter transfer window. He was crucial for the side during his two half-seasons spell, as it always maintained its top level status.
For the following six years, Rehmer played with another club from his city, Hertha BSC; being an important defensive unit as the side always made the UEFA Cup in the first four seasons, he was also grossly undermined by several injuries.
In 2005, Rehmer moved to Eintracht Frankfurt. Following more injuries, he was forced to retire at the end of 2006–07, after helping with 12 matches in the team's final escape from relegation.
